Well done. This is a tough topic to discuss considering the entrenched views on both sides of the conflict. It is good to read a balanced view to look at both sides of the impact of the conflict. I hope readers take time to appreciate the presentation despite what side they choose in the conflict.

Thanks for your comment! We really strive to highlight the impact this conflict has had on the people affected, especially in light of the current military operations. It’s a tough topic, and it’s hard not to be deeply moved by the suffering happening over there. Summarising it with just numbers feels inadequate, but our hope is that by providing some measurable insights, we can help our readers better grasp the true scale of what's unfolding.

This isn't a conflict. It's a genocide. If you stand with Israel you're a criminal.

Thank you for your comment. We vehemently protest the horrors inflicted upon the civilian population of Gaza by the IDF, and it is only getting worse as time goes by. It is our sincere hope that cooler heads will prevail and the force of arms be consigned to the pages of history, but we don't always get what we want. The only thing we can do is to use this platform to raise awareness and plead our case to anyone who would listen (read), and hope that something comes out of it...

I totally understand. But this isn't a conflict nor a war. It's a genocide. An ethnic cleansing. A colonization. It needs to be called what it is. Words matter. I'm doing the same thing here and other social media sites. What I'm learning is just how deep the colonial rot is. It infests everything including our words. We need to be using the language of the colonized, because that's what we are, and not the colonizers. We're not free until we are all free.

Don’t worry about Israel’s economy. The great USA will keep it humming with taxpayers money.

Thank you for your comment. We're genuinely curious, do you have sources that quantify US aid that kept the Israeli economy buoyed throughout the war? Except for the aid that came with the Egyptian and Jordanian peace treaties, and the supply of a few specific military hardware requested by the IDF, there don't seem to be hard direct cash being pumped from the US to make up for the budget deficits during the early stages of the war or any additional funds to keep the Shekel balanced. Would appreciate it if you can point us to some resources that say otherwise

10s of billions of dollars each year go towards something other then weapons. But let me go dig.
